Suspect photographed in knifepoint robbery
The Grand Junction Police Department on Monday released a surveillance photo in hopes of identifying a man who reportedly robbed a business at knifepoint and assaulted a worker.
Officers were called just before 7 p.m. Saturday on a report of a man who hit an employee at Smoker Friendly, 2692 U.S. Highway 50, before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash. The employee wasn’t injured. Police described the suspect as white and in his 30s, about 6 feet tall, weighing about 170 pounds, and wearing a dark-colored coat with a hoodie covering his head.
