Tanker tips, spills unknown fluid type

Hazardous-materials crews worked Monday to corral fluids from a 40,000-gallon tanker truck that tipped over near Buzzard Creek and the fairgrounds in Collbran, the Colorado State Patrol said.

No injuries were reported in the incident, which involved only the tanker truck.

It wasn’t immediately known how much fluid escaped from the truck, but the patrol summoned hazardous-materials crews, a spokesman said.

The fairgrounds is near the intersection of PE and 58 6/10 roads, near the confluence of Buzzard Creek and Plateau Creek.
