Thief takes truck, trailer from auto dealer

All titles, keys to vehicles also taken in robbery; same business robbed earlier this year

Burglars made off with two vehicles and potentially the tools to steal more from Pine Country Truck & Auto overnight Friday.

A manager of the dealership at 2514 U.S. Highway 6&50 discovered the truck and trailer missing at 8:30 Saturday morning. A restroom window had been broken, and barbed wire had been snipped above a chain-link fence.

“They got in our files and stole all our titles and our keys,” Pine Country Owner Ron Kissner said.

The 2007 Dodge truck and a dump trailer stolen late Friday or early Saturday morning were worth $47,000 together, Kissner said.

The incident marked the second burglary at the used-truck and trailer dealership in six months.

Around the new year, burglars stole two trailers from Pine Country and two cars from nearby Ed Bozarth Chevrolet Pontiac & Buick in the same night, Kissner said.

There are no suspects, police said.
