This Week in the Legislature, April 25, 2011
Today: The House Education Committee will consider SB126, a controversial measure to allow in-state tuition for the children of undocumented residents.
Tuesday: Business training for judges, as called for in HB1302, will be debated by the House Judiciary Committee.
Wednesday: The Senate State, Veterans & Military Affairs Committee will hear House Joint Resolution 1017, which calls on Congress to convene a constitutional convention for a federal balanced budget amendment.
Thursday: The Senate Agriculture, Natural Resources & Energy Committee will hear SB258, which would increase access to locally produced foods in local stores.
Next week: During the last full week of the session, lawmakers will finish work on bills before the May 11 adjournment, including any measure that might be introduced on congressional redistricting.
