Today is the deadline for voter registration in state

If you plan to vote this year, you need to register by the end of today.

Colorado law requires that voters register to vote no later than 30 days before Election Day, Nov. 4 this year.

To register to vote, you can either visit the Mesa County Clerk and Recorder’s Office, 544 Rood Ave., or one of the county’s motor vehicle registration offices at:

•  The Fruita Civic Center, 325 E. Aspen;

•  The Mesa Mall, JC Penney Wing, 2424 U.S. Highway 6&50;

•  The Peachtree Shopping Center, 3225 Interstate 70 Business Loop;

•  The Mesa County Fairgrounds, 2775 U.S. Highway 50.

As of Oct. 1, more than 91,000 Mesa County residents had registered to vote, according to the Mesa County Clerk and Recorder’s Web site.
