Tonettes sing to secretaries in honor of holiday

Local singers The Tonettes serenade in honor of Administrative Professionals Day.

The Tonettes clicked as quietly as the could in their high heels and pencil skirts up the spiral staircase at Wells Fargo Bank downtown in an effort to sneak up on Vicki Cox of Investments, LLC.

Cox, was given a singing telegram by her boss in honor of Administrative Professionals Day. She received an a capella performance by the all-women singing group and was presented with a pink rose.

They blew her a kiss and wished her a “classy” day.

“I was so surprised—I didn’t even know it was (Administrative Professionals Day) today,” Cox laughed.

Members of the Tonettes are Tara DeBruin-Gatseos, Becci McGarry, Danielle Behrens, Carrington Schaeffer, and Janae DeBruin-Steward.

They will be surprising assistants across the valley Wednesday.

The group is available to sing for birthdays, holidays, or parties. Call 970-261-7205 or visit http://www.thetonettes.com for more information.
