Tour of the Moon on Plan B

The Icon Lasik Tour of the Moon will go on Saturday morning, just not on the route originally contemplated by organizers.
“We’re going on to Plan B and it’s going to be a beautiful day,” organizer Mike Heaston said.
Some 2,000 bicyclists registered for the ride, which will go up Little Park Road and tour the Bangs Canyon area - a red-rock substitute for the originally planned run across Colorado National Monument on Rim Rock Drive.
The monument is closed as a result of the federal shutdown.
Some participants sought refunds, but they cited the October snows instead of the shutdown, Heaston said.
