Road closures and maintenance projects may affect traffic this week:
City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions
■ Riverside Parkway Resurfacing Project: 6 p.m.–7 a.m., Sunday–Thursday. Flaggers will assist motorists. Expect delays.
Sunday and Monday night: Paving from the rail spur at 24 1/2 Road to the 25 Road overpass.
Sunday–Thursday night: Adjusting water valve and manhole covers to finish grade from 24 Road to 31 Road.
■ Contract Street Overlay and Chip Seal Project, daylight hours:
Monday–Wednesday: Pave Ridges Boulevard from Colorado Highway 340 to Shadow Lake.
Monday–Wednesday: Fog seal Horizon Drive from 12th Street to G Road
Monday–Wednesday: Fog seal Grand Avenue from First Street to 12th Street
Monday–Wednesday: Fog seal B 1/2 Road from Sherman Drive to 29 Road
Flaggers will assist motorists. Expect delays.
Non-City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions
■ Interstate 70 Beavertail Tunnel Lighting Project, east of Palisade — CDOT Project:
Speed limit is reduced to 35 mph.
Eastbound I-70 traffic will be detoured onto service road. No vehicle parking or bicycling on the service road. Westbound traffic will detour through the eastbound tunnel. Westbound and eastbound traffic can expect single-lane closures. Project hours are 7 a.m.–5 p.m. weekdays. Anticipated completion is November.
■ 25 1/2 Road Utility Construction, Seventh-day Adventist Church Project: Northbound lane shift between West Orchard Avenue and Patterson Road during the daytime hours Wednesday and Thursday. Expect delays.
