Road closures and maintenance projects may affect traffic this week:
■ 22 Road Realignment Project at Highway 6: Both directions of traffic on U.S. Highway 6 between Valley Court and Sanford Drive has been shifted to the south side of the highway. Traffic on U.S. Highway 6 near the Interstate 70 Exit 26 interchange is narrowed to one lane in both directions. 22 Road north of U.S. Highway 6 is closed until Nov. 1. Detour route is in place via 21 1/2 Road. 84 Lumber access is located at the new 22 Road location, 500’ west of existing 22 Road. The speed limit through the work zone is reduced to 35 mph.
■ Underground Utility Projects: First Street between Orchard Avenue and Patterson Road — street will be open in both directions this week; Belair Drive between First Street and Park Drive — street will be closed to through traffic this week. Access for local residents will be provided; Epps Drive west of 29 Road — street will be closed to through traffic this week. Access for local residents will be provided.
■ Foresight Park Storm Sewer Extension: City crews will install storm sewer pipe under Hollingsworth Street north of East Foresight Circle. Hollingsworth Street will be closed to through traffic during normal work hours. Detour route will be in place. Business access will be provided.
■ Intersection of 28 1/4 Road and the entrance to Columbine Park: City crews repair sewer line Wednesday. Expect traffic delays from 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
■ Intersection of 12th Street and Hill Avenue: City crews will remove a water valve Thursday. Expect traffic delays from 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
■ North Avenue Accessibility Improvements (2800 Block): This week, crews will remove and replace curb, gutter and sidewalk in front of 2894 North Ave. (Big O Tires). Westbound traffic on North Avenue will be reduced to one lane from 9 a.m.–3 pm. Business access will be provided.
