Road closures and maintenance projects may affect traffic this week:
City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions
■ Riverside Parkway Access Improvements at Las Colonias: Eastbound Riverside Parkway will intermittently be closed to through traffic from 7 a.m.– 5 p.m. daily from Ninth Street to D Road. Westbound Riverside Parkway will intermittently be closed to through traffic from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. daily from Ninth Street to D Road. Riverside parkway will not be closed in both directions at the same time. Detour route will be in place. Anticipated completion is November.
■ 28½ Road Sewer and Water Line Replacement: 28½ Road from Interstate 70 Business and North Avenue is closed to through traffic. Access is maintained for local residents and businesses. Anticipated completion is November.
■ 2017 Roadway Repairs Project
25 Road and G Road Roundabout: Southbound and eastbound will be closed all week. Northbound and westbound will have travel restrictions. Detour route will be in place.
Mariposa Drive at Monument Road: Mariposa Drive will be closed all week. Detour route will be in place.
24 Road from north of I-70 to H Road: Expect delays on Monday will alternating one-lane traffic.
Mulberry Street and West Gunnison Avenue intersection: Work will require short-term closures of the intersection on Tuesday. An alternate route is advised.
South Broadway at 20½ Road: Work will require short-term closures of intersection on Tuesday. An alternate route is advised.
■ 2017 Asphalt Overlays: Crews will adjust manholes to grade this week, weather permitting, on Gunnison Avenue from 12th Street to 24th Street and D Road from 31 Road to 32 Road. Expect alternating one-lane traffic with short delays.
■ Leaf Removal Program: The citywide leaf pickup begins Monday. Drive slow in areas where crews are working. The program is weather dependent and may be delayed in poor conditions.
Non-City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions
■ I-70B/North Avenue Interchange Project west of First Street — Colorado Department of Transportation Project: Expect alternating left and right lane closures in both directions. Speed limit is reduced to 30 mph. Anticipated completion is October.
