Road closures and maintenance projects may affect traffic this week:
City of Grand Junction Projects
■ 22 Road Realignment Project at U.S. Highway 6: On Tuesday evening, traffic along U.S. Highway 6, between 22 Road and the Interstate 70 Exit 26 interchange, will be shifted to the north side of the highway onto the new pavement. The new setup will allow for construction of the south side of U.S. Highway 6 at the I-70 interchange.
Traffic on U.S. Highway 6 near the I-70 Exit 26 interchange is narrowed to one lane in both directions. Access to businesses on Valley Court and 84 Lumber is located at the new 22 Road intersection with U.S. Highway 6. The speed limit through the work zone has been reduced to 35 mph.
■ Elm Drive between 28 1/2 Road and Elm Avenue: Elm Drive will be closed for sanitary sewer construction. Access for local residents will be provided.
■ G Road between 23 1/2 Road and 24 Road: G Road is closed for utility and street improvements. Detour route will be in place. Business access will be provided from 23 Road only.
■ First Street between Orchard Avenue and Patterson Road: Northbound First Street will be closed Monday and Tuesday for the adjustment of manholes to grade. Southbound First Street will remain open. Access for local residents will be provided. Detour route will be in place.
■ 23rd Street between Texas Avenue and Mesa Avenue: 23rd Street will be closed for sanitary sewer construction. Access for local residents will be provided. Detour route will be in place.
■ Epps Drive West of 29 Road: Epps Drive will be closed for street reconstruction. Access for local residents will be provided.
■ The southerly portion of West and East Parkview Drive north of B 1/2 Road: Both West and East Parkview drives will be closed for waterline construction. Access for local residents will be provided.

■ Mesa County Overlay Program
F 5/8 Road, 33 Road east to 33.75 Road has been removed from overlay due to water line replacement in 2014.
