Traffic alert, Sept. 8, 2013
Road closures and maintenance projects may affect traffic this week.
City of Grand Junction Projects, subject to weather conditions:
22 Road Realignment Project at Highway 6: Both directions of traffic on U.S. Highway 6 between Valley Court and Sanford Drive shifted to the south side of the highway. Traffic on U.S. Highway 6 near the Interstate 70 Exit 26 interchange is narrowed to one lane in both directions. 22 Road north of U.S. Highway 6 is closed until Nov. 1. Detour route is in place via 21 1/2 Road. 84 Lumber access is located at the new 22 Road location, 500’ west of existing 22 Road. The speed limit through the work zone is reduced to 35 mph.
23rd Street Sanitary Sewer Project: 23rd Street between Texas Avenue and Orchard Avenue will be closed to through traffic. Access for local residents will be provided.
Epps Drive Sanitary Sewer Project: Epps Drive west of 29 Road will be closed to through traffic. Access for local residents will be provided.
West and East Parkview drives waterline upgrade: The southerly portion of West and East Parkview drives north of B 1/2 Road will be closed. Access for local residents will be provided.
Riverside Parkway asphalt rejuvenation: During the week crews will be working from 7 a.m.–5 p.m. at the following locations: Riverside Parkway, from Redlands Parkway to Ninth Street; 25 Road Overpass, from Riverside Parkway to I-70 Business; Riverside Parkway from D Road to 29 Road. There will be lane closures and alternate routes are advised.
During the week crews will be working at from 7 p.m.–6 a.m. at the following locations: Riverside Parkway, between Ninth Street and D Road (Wednesday Night); Rimrock Avenue between Base Rock Street and Bogart Lane (Thursday Night); Base Rock Street between American Way and Rimrock Avenue (Thursday Night). During night work these roads will be closed to through traffic. Detour will be in place. Business access will be provided.

Week of Sept. 9: F Road (Patterson Road), from Lodgepole Street east to I-70B. Allow extra time for traffic delays. Alternate route is highly recommended.
Chip Seal for Town of Palisade
Wednesday and Thursday: Moss Way, cul-de-sac to Elberta Avenue; Victoria Drive, First Street to cul-de-sac; Majestic Drive, First Street to cul-de-sac; Crawford, Elberta Avenue to First Street.
Mesa County Overlay Program
Mid-week: F 5/8 Road, 33 Road east to 33.75 Road; 34 Road, E.25 Road north to U.S. Highway 6
Pine Street construction, Fruita: Pine Street from J.2 Road to Carolina will open to through traffic on Monday. Paving of this section of Pine Street will take place later in the year and construction activity will be ongoing on the east shoulder of the road.
Pine Street between Aspen Avenue and Ottley Avenue will be closed beginning Monday, through Oct. 1. The Ottley Avenue intersection and Aspen Avenue intersection will be open to east-west through traffic.
