Transportation group meeting Monday in Grand Junction
TBD Colorado will host an outreach meeting from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday in the Colorado Mesa University Center Ballroom.
The nonpartisan group is accepting comments through March 25 on state education and transportation issues. Comments can be submitted online at http://www.TBDColorado.org or presented in person at Monday’s meeting.
In addition to the opportunity to present ideas, attendees at Monday’s meeting will have a chance to vote on transportation and education ideas via keypad voting. Up to 200 people can register on the TBD website to attend the event.
Gov. John Hickenlooper launched TBD Colorado last year. The group is funded by various companies and organizations, not tax money. TBD is managed by a nonprofit organization and governed by a board of directors who gather public comment in the hopes of shaping future legislation or initiatives, according to spokeswoman Stacey Hartmann.
Don Hunt of the Colorado Department of Transportation, Reeves Brown of the Department of Local Affairs, and Deputy Chief of Staff to Gov. Hickenlooper Kevin Patterson will attend Monday’s meeting in Grand Junction. A similar meeting took place Tuesday in Denver.
