Utah lands proposed for protection the subject of photo presentation tonight

Utah lands that would be set aside as wilderness under a proposal pending before Congress will be shown today at the Maverick Center at Mesa State college.

Terri Martin, western regional organizer for the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance, will show photos of some of the landscapes that would be designated as wilderness and discuss progress and the state of the politics around wilderness in Utah.

The meeting is at 7 p.m. and is open to the public.
