Utah officials search for 2 escaped inmates

VERNAL, Utah — Local and state police are searching for two inmates who escaped from Uintah County Jail in eastern Utah.

Authorities say Jason Max Braham and Dallas Ephraim Derrick, both 21, escaped overnight from the Vernal jail by kicking out a dryer vent in a laundry room and then stealing a car.

The stolen vehicle is a 1996 green GMC Yukon with a Utah license plate 612MPM.

Both men were serving time for convictions on theft and burglary charges.

Braham is described as 5-foot-9, 185 pounds with green eyes and a shaved head. Derrick is 5-foot-9, 180 pounds with blue eyes and a shaved head. Derrick also has tattoos on his left arm of a skull, clown and a spider web.

Law enforcement asks that anyone with related information call 911.
