Variety of styles to be on stage at dance concert

Contemporary dance styles will be on display at the Beyond Boundaries Dance Collective’s 2011 Winter Dance Concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 10-12 at the Mesa Experimental Theatre in Mesa State College’s Moss Performing Arts Center.

Beyond Boundaries Dance Collective will present its 2011 Winter Dance Concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 10–12, at the Mesa Experimental Theatre in the Moss Performing Arts Center, at Mesa State College.

The concert will display an eclectic collection of dances in a variety of contemporary styles. Choreographers include Mesa State faculty members Matthew Lindstrom and Ann J. Sanders, as well as local choreographers Laura Bradley, Julie Sinnott, Connie Monroe and introducing Sarah King, Natasha Krasnow and Rachel Weickert.

Beyond Boundaries was formed in 2005 by dancers in the Grand Valley who sought to create an avenue for artistic expression to touch, move and inspire others through dance, according to a news release.

Proceeds from the concert will benefit Mesa State dance scholarships.
