Vehicle sought in OM homicide probe
Authorities on Tuesday were looking for a Jeep Cherokee believed to have been driven by a man who was found dead Monday on Orchard Mesa in what’s been ruled a homicide.
The vehicle is a 1999 four-door, dark-blue Jeep Cherokee, the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department said in a press release Tuesday.
Authorities asked for help identifying a Hispanic man whose body was found in a wooded area around B 1/2 and 29 3/4 roads at 11:30 a.m. The man was described as 25 to 35, 5 feet 5 inches or 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds. He had brown hair and brown eyes. The case didn’t match any reported missing persons in Mesa County, authorities said.
The death was ruled homicide after an autopsy Tuesday.
