Veterans event helps with job hunt

Veterans and others with military experience who are out of work can get help at the Colorado Army National Guard Readiness Center, 2820 Riverside Parkway, until noon today.

The H2H Mobile Office van allows veterans to look at job listings, submit resumes and get employment counseling in a single stop.

Employers also can post job listings in the van, which is dubbed H2H for “Heros 2 Hired.”

The program was established to make it easy for veterans, reserves and non-active-duty service members to find jobs with military-friendly companies.

The van is visiting Grand Junction as part of an effort to help members of the Charlie Company, based in Grand Junction, find employment after a planned deployment to Afghanistan was canceled.

Information about jobs and the program is available at https://h2h.jobs.
