Visit national parks for free today

The National Park Service just released its 2014 dates to tour any of nation’s national parks for free.

The year’s first free day is today, for the birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr.

Visitors to the Colorado National Monument or any of the National Park Service’s parks can gain free admission for several other days this year.

Upcoming free days include Feb. 15-17 for President’s Day weekend. In April, people can enjoy the parks for free on the 19th and 20th in celebration of the opening weekend of National Park Week.

Other free days include Aug. 25 for National Park Service birthday; September 27 for National Public Lands Day; and Nov. 11 for Veterans Day.
