Congratulations to the newly elected School Board members.  As a graduate of the Grand Junction schools, I was really surprised in the number of students who need remedial math and/or English to be prepared for a successful college career.  When we graduated in the last century and went to Mesa it was never an issue for remedial classes.  All of the teachers I have met over the past four years seemed to be first class, interest in the kids and just plain good teachers.  So what it is the problem?  Although I did not support Prop 66, I support every other school funding issue.
