Walker needs donations to help fight breast cancer
Natalie Sorrentino has only 19 days left to raise $1,800 so she can participate in the upcoming Avon Walk for Breast Cancer Rocky Mountains taking place in Summit County June 26-27.
The annual walk begins in Keystone and continues for 39.3 miles to Breckenridge. All of the proceeds are immediately given to local, regional and national organizations to fund breast cancer medical care and research.
Sorrentino is walking with her mother. They hope to represent all of the mothers and daughters who have been effected by breast cancer. They have been training for months and just finished a mountainous 14 mile trek between Keystone and Dillon.
Sorrentino plans to write the names of all who donated to her cause on the shirt she will be wearing on the day of the event.
So far, Sorrentino has only raised about $300. If she cannot raise the minimum donation required by the walk day she will not be able to participate in the event she has been training so hard for.
