Wells Fargo regional president Dean Massey retiring in August

Dean Massey, who started his Wells Fargo banking career 35 years ago as a teller in Grand Junction, is retiring at the end of August from his current post as the bank’s western Colorado regional president.

Massey was president of the Colorado Springs Business Banking group for Wells Fargo and president of the downtown Colorado Springs store before he was appointed to the western Colorado post in 2004.

He is the immediate past chairman of the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on boards of directors for the St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation, Western Colorado Community Fund and the Museum of Western Colorado.

“I’ve had a great ride with a great company, and I’m so fortunate to be ending my career right where I started, in Grand Junction,” Massey said in a statement.

Massey has been “an outstanding leader for our western Colorado team, an advocate for our customers and an active community leader for us,” Wells Fargo’s Colorado regional President Nathan Christian said.
