Whitewater man reported missing
The Mesa County Sheriff’s Department is asking for help finding a 54-year-old Whitewater man who has been out of contact with his family since Tuesday morning.
Melvin Ferguson, who left home sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. Tuesday, is believed to not have his medication, which he regularly takes for a medical condition, according to a news release.
Deputies have no leads on his whereabouts after canvassing his neighborhood.
Ferguson is 5 feet, 185 pounds and was last seen wearing a tan Carhartt jacket, blue Levi jeans and a cowboy hat. Anybody who may have seen him walking in the Whitewater area on Tuesday, or anyone with any information on his whereabouts, is asked to call (970) 242-6707.
