Willie Nelson plays GJ, Blues and Brews
Before he sets foot on stage in Grand Junction, Willie Nelson will headline with The Flaming Lips and Big Head Todd and the Monsters at the 18th annual Telluride Blues and Brews Festival.
The other big player at festival Friday through Sunday, Sept. 16–18, is the beer. The Grand Tasting with more than 50 accredited, national microbreweries and 150 beers will be from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday.
And, filling out the entertainment, are Dweezil Zappa Plays Zappa, moe., Marcia Ball, Fitz and the Tantrums, Mavis Staples, Anders Osborne, Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights and others.

Nelson will close the festival, performing from 6–7:30 Sunday night. His Grand Junction concert, postponed from April 22, is set for 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19, at Two Rivers Convention Center. Tickets are $48.
Anyone holding tickets to the original performance will have those tickets honored for the rescheduled date.
