Woman survives fall off high cliff

PUEBLO WEST — Pueblo West firefighters say a driver is very lucky after she survived a fall off a high cliff near Lake Pueblo.

Fire department spokesman Brad Davidson said today the woman’s truck went off a cliff, then careened down a slope for up to 200 feet.

Firefighters said the unidentified 51-year-old woman was struggling to climb out of the truck when they rushed to the scene Thursday night.

Rescuers said the woman suffered serious injuries and had to be pulled out of the vehicle.
