•  In my opinion, the Citizens for a Safer Grand Junction group wasted an amazing amount of money. They spent close to $50,000 on flyers, advertising, and consultant fees when what really made the difference for me was that a firefighter took the time to come to my door and explain why the quarter-cent tax increase would make a difference.

•  Let me get this straight. The Grand Junction Economic Partnership gave $5,000 to the campaign for new city public facilities. The city helps fund the Grand Junction Economic Partnership. So, does that mean that taxpayer dollars were used to (unsuccessfully) convince taxpayers to cough up even more?
