You Said It Column October 24, 2008

• The city can make plenty of money back from the Riverside Parkway just by giving out speeding tickets to the 90 percent of travelers who are going above the 40 mph posted speed limit. Also, at Seventh Street for no turn on red violations.

• I was going to have someone build me a fireplace to save on gas but I was told my property tax would be raised. If it is raised again, I wouldn’t be able to pay it.

• Obviously, if a newspaper feels the need to publish instructions on how to maneuver the Fruita and 24 Road roundabouts, and frustrated drivers write in to explain lane assignments to locals, while tired travelers are pulling off or onto Interstate 70 dizzy with confusion, these two messes weren’t designed well.
