Man suspected of meth possession
Travis Darren Place, 25, 58249 E Road in Collbran, and Jessi Elizabeth McCue-Locke, 22, 623 Stan Drive, were arrested on suspicion of methamphetamine possession after officers with the Grand Junction Police Department contacted them Saturday night near the intersection of Gunnison Avenue and First Street.
While searching the vehicle during a traffic stop, officers found the suspected drugs, according to a Police Department report. Both suspects were booked into Mesa County Jail early Sunday morning.
Car with loan in arrears destroyed
A family member of a Fruita man whose car was slated for repossession had the vehicle destroyed Saturday, according to a Mesa County Sheriff’s Department report.
Jeremy Dale Roth’s car was stolen from the 3100 block of Mesa Avenue by a family member. The car had a $7,500 lien on it and was “in the process of being repossessed” when the suspect had it “crushed,” according to the Sheriff’s Department.
Man suspected of various offenses
Kanen Ellsworth Lamb, 1600 North Ave., was arrested on suspicion of drug possession, having a stolen credit card and other violations after Grand Junction police contacted him Saturday evening.
Lamb fled officers before he was arrested in the 1200 block of Orchard Avenue, according to a police report. He was booked into Mesa County Jail later that night.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
• Erik Sorenson, 39, was issues a summons on suspicion of indecent exposure early Friday after officers contacted him in the 600 block of Main Street.
• Two suspects assaulted two victims Saturday night in the 300 block of 27 3/8 Road and stole less than $1,000 from the victims.
• A thief stole property valued at more than $1,000 from a victim at the Quincy Bar and Grill, 609 Main St., early Saturday morning.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:
• A thief stole property valued at $3,100 from a storage unit in the 500 block of 30 Road sometime Saturday.
• Someone used a rock to cause damage estimated at $300 to a window in the 400 block of 32 Road on Friday night or Saturday morning.
