• Nathan D. “Nate” Stevens, 73, Paonia, died April 3, 2008, at the Delta County Memorial Hospital. Services will take place at 10 a.m. May 10 at the Paonia Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include four brothers, Ted of Coquille, Ore., Jim of Snohomish, Wash., Mark of Spokane, Wash., and Paul of Olathe; three sisters, Martha Adams of Lakewood, Alberta Rainwater of Riggins, Idaho, and Anna Hopper of Grand Junction.

• Charles E. Sumpter, 52, Fruita, died April 27, 2008, at his home. Services will take place at 1 p.m. Monday at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.

Mr. Sumpter was a retired staff sergeant for the United States Army and a construction worker.

Survivors include one sister, Tommie Bear of Arizona.

• Murry Daniel Westergren, 89, Fruita, died April 28, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the L.D.S. Third Ward Church in Fruita. Services will follow at 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Westergren was a retail buyer.

Survivors include one son, Bruce Neal of Centennial; one daughter, Dorothy Whetton of Fruita; and three grandchildren.
