Broncos Football Club to visit Junction
The Denver Broncos Football Club, as part of their Broncos Country Flag Campaign, will visit Grand Junction from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Stocker Stadium. The event is free.
Guests include Ring of Fame member Billy Thompson, Broncos cheerleaders and Miles the Mascot.
There will be autographs, a raffle and Super Bowl trophies for viewing.

Eagles sponsors regional conference
The Fraternal Order of Eagles will sponsor the annual Four Corners Regional Conference Sept. 26-28 at the Grand Junction Eagle’s Aerie, 1674 U.S. Highway 50.
More than 150 officers from Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah will be in attendance.
The group will give $5,000 to the Children’s Hospital in Denver. For information, call 242-6004.
Seminar to address gas development
Palisade Town Administrator Tim Sarmo will discuss the effects of gas development from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Saccomanno Lecture Hall at Mesa State College as part of the “Natural Resources in the West” series.
Sarmo will emphasize protecting watersheds, local regulation of the natural gas industry and industry relations.

Food bank walk scheduled Oct. 5
The CROP Walk will take place at 1 p.m. Oct. 5, beginning at Sacred Heart Church in Fruita.
The walk raises money for local food banks.

Oregon State student makes honor roll
Amy B. Bradham of Grand Junction was named to the Scholastic Honor Roll for the summer semester at Oregon State University. Bradham earned straight-A’s and is studying pre-nuclear engineering.
