A three man crew with Alpine Archaeological Consultants, Inc. out of Montrose work on Driggs Mansion in Unweep Canyon Monday afternoon on the first day of a two week project to stabilize the mansion. The mansion was constructed in the early 1900’s by Lawrence LaTourette Driggs on 320 acres of land acquired through the Desert Entry Act. The mansion had six rooms that included two bedrooms, one large commons area, kitchen, and a smal unility room. The Driggs family only stayed for a few week.
