Several short but intense storms dumped rain and small hail on Grand Junction Monday afternoon.
A man decides to get out of his innertube in the water at South Seventh Street as a car turns off of the Riverside Parkway. Many streets in the area were covered as the water collected around the storm drains.

A large branch fell on either side of a van owned by James Lupp at Eight Street and Grand Avenue. Only leaves had landed on the van.
