Cliff Ulman from Grand Junction pulls a good size rainbow trout out of an ice hole on Corn Lake in the James M. Robb Colorado River State Park Corn Lake Section. After his catch a very happy blue heron came along and Ulman threw the trout to heron and with one bite the heron eats it.

Bridal Veil Falls is a 365 foot waterfall at the end of the box canyon overlooking Telluride. Hiking and off-road trails pass by the falls and the power plant at its top. In winter the frozen shape of the falls forms an imposing challenge to intrepid ice climbers.

Orchard Mesa Pool will be open for public swim Saturday and Sunday, but will close Monday and Tuesday for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
