A fire on the Whiting property in Kannah Creek tops out in some trees as some cows graze in the haze. The Grand Junction Fire Dept., Bureau of Land Management, Mesa County Sheriff’s wildfire trucks, and Lands End Fire Dept. sent crews. The BLM sent a spotting plane to monitor the fire.

An Olathe Fire Protection volunteer fire fighter hustles to put mop up a fire which took a family home, out buildings and many vehicles at 2468 5400 Road West of Olathe. No one was hurt, but the home was totally destroyed.
