Fifteen Junior Girl Scouts in grades four and five recently earned the Bronze Award, the highest award for scouts in this age group.
These Girl Scouts recently received the Silver Award, which the highest award for Cadette Girl Scouts in grades six through eight.

“Big Blue Hoop” by Brian Baker was donated to Colorado Mesa University in 2011 by his parents, Lee and Al Baker, pictured here. Brian Baker, who died in June 2010, was an art professor at the then Mesa State College. An oil on stretched canvas, “Big Blue Hoop” can be seen in the third floor student lounge area of the Academic Classroom Building.
Three siblings with the same birth date celebrated together on Oct. 23.
