The Wednesday Music Club had auditions and presented music awards to three Colorado Mesa University students in April. Airi Miyamoto, left, a student of Andrea-Arese Elias, received the Piano Award and played “Arabesque No. 1 in E Major” by Debussy. Kalinda Theobold, center, is a student of Kathleen Ruhleder and received the Vocal Award for singing Schubert’s “Gretchen am Spinnrade” and Bock’s “Far From the Home I Love.” Sandra Rivera, right, a student of Carols Elias, received the Instrumental Award for playing “Symphonie Espagnole, Op. 21, Allegro molto” by Lalo.
