I would like to thank the volunteer coordinator and Mesa County for the wonderful volunteer luncheon they hosted on April 12. As a volunteer, it made me feel honored and appreciated for my service to the community.
We at Holy Family Catholic School are for peace. We were cheering when the vice president passed by because we are proud to be United States citizens. And we are. It is too bad the media chose to tell their own version without checking our story. We may not agree with everything that is done here, but we are still proud and thankful to live in the U.S.
Perhaps the people who think the weeds and trash burning smell so good could go to our daughter’s hospital room and tell her how good it smells when she is struggling to breathe.
I’m just glad hunting season was over when Dick Cheney was here.
I pay a lot of taxes — local, state and federal. I don’t care if I am at a rock concert, a ball game, an airport or any other event I choose to attend. If security is needed, then I expect it to be provided.
First ice, now fire. What’s next for Seventh Street? Maybe a flood or earthquake?
So, we’re supporting an Iraqi government that lost millions of dollars worth of our aid money, some of which goes to the insurgents who kill Americans. It appears that staying in Iraq makes us a loser and leaving makes us a winner.
Who paid for the expenses of Dick Cheney to come to Grand Junction to raise funds for Bob Schaffer? American taxpayers or the Republican Party?
The bridge on 25 Road is going to be beautiful. Thank you to all who helped build it.
To Becky Hughes, our reigning Miss Colorado USA: We are very proud of you and congratulate you for proudly representing our city at Miss USA.
To the lazy drivers who stop traffic waiting for someone to pull out at the Fourth Street post office so you can park right in front: Keep driving. Go around the block, find another parking spot and maybe actually walk. Your inconsideration drives us berserk.
If you’re a western Colorado native, stand up. If you’re not, shut up.
I am buying my burn permit this week and with weather permitting, burning the weeds that will burn when somebody throws their match, etc., out the window this summer. You are welcome to bring your marshmallows.
College? No prison time? Two teens get rewarded for attempted murder and for permanently blinding another teen in one eye with college paid with my tax dollars. What is wrong with that judge?
From a gal and friends who are in their 70s. We are still physically active and all agree that we are wiser than ever before. When you get there, you will wonder why you ever thought 70 was old.
