Thanks to the kind woman who helped me and stayed with me when I was injured recently in a local grocery store. Your thoughtful attention was a comfort to me at a time when I really needed it.
The parking layout on Main Street has been successful for decades, with the area to back up out of traffic. Hopefully, the city will pattern the Colorado Avenue changes after Main Street.
To those of you who think “pork” only comes from Democrats: Look at the massive trillions of dollars of deficit “pork” a Republican and Congress ran up.
A number of traffic lights in the area make you stop as you approach, even though no traffic is waiting. I hate burning gas and time at these stupid lights. The light on westbound Ute Avenue at Seventh Street is a prime example. You sit there and sit there with little or no cross traffic. It’s maddening. Please fix them.
Maybe if we had control of our water on the Western Slope, we could control how much of it we could keep. I’m telling you, the more we depend on the Front Range to take of us, the more we get “took care of.”
Radio stations are businesses based on capitalism, not socialism. In other words, they want to make money. It’s not our fault no one listens to Air America. You pay, you play. Find sponsors (good luck), pay your money and quit whining.
To the liberal writer who said all liberals want is equal time on the radio: It’s so typical when liberals cannot compete, they just want it given to them. You already have equal time; it’s called NPR. And of course, it is funded with taxpayer dollars because, as usual with liberal talk radio, no advertisers are willing to support it because nobody listens.
Thank you Congressman Salazar, for that attractive flier you sent me explaining the stimulus rebate, which is intended to help our weak economy. It’s the same information the U.S. government sent me, not to mention I have heard about it, many times, in all the news media. So I look at the back of your flier, and the cost of designing it, printing it and mailing it is at our expense. Then I go to your Web site and you give us a daily update on the staggering national debt. Is this making sense?
Colorado has a right-to-farm law, which means people in agriculture can plow, spray, burn, raise livestock, etc., in order to make their farm or ranch as productive as possible.
In response to the lady who wants to move back to where the real people live because of the “nasty farmers” that are disrupting life: Those farmers are making a living and they are producing the very food you eat. And the farmers aren’t the only cause of dusty houses. We live in a desert.
Anyone who has the nerve to compare Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Madison and other founding fathers with today’s liberals has no clue who they really were and what they really stood for.
