Thank you to the young ladies sitting behind my husband, two sisters, and myself at IHOP. When we went to pay for our meals, they had paid for them. Thanks to kind people, it makes the world better.
Douglas Bruce could use a lesson in manners. Anybody have a woodshed we can borrow?
Enough is enough! It’s time to remove Douglas Bruce from the Legislature, period. And while we’re at it, pursue and prosecute his cronies and followers who think it’s acceptable to threaten other legislators who disagree with their narrow views.
On April 30, I had a most delightful experience at the Cabaret. Their latest production, “The Wizard of Oz,” is masterfully presented. I wondered how such a large story would be reproduced upon such a small stage. The set design, costumes, acting and directing were all first-rate and worked beautifully in this small theater. We are so fortunate to have this little theater in Grand Junction. Thanks to the Cabaret for a memorable evening.
When will they finish the roundabout at (Grand Junction Regional Airport)? They stopped working on that project in October last year, and yet the top coat of asphalt is still noticeably absent, though the rough transitions in and out of the roundabout (four transitions per trip though the thing) are as rough as ever. Didn’t the city project managers have mothers who taught them to finish what they started?
To all trash customers everywhere: Did you know that what you throw away today may end up on eBay tomorrow? The people whom you trust to take your trash to the landfill are going through your trash, finding so-called treasures and who knows what other personal information. I found this out firsthand and immediately stopped service. I would rather be inconvenienced and dispose of my own trash than have those strangers go digging through it.
I love garage sales as much as any other sale junkie, but if you post your signs, take them down the next day! Some cities have a law where you can be fined for leaving your signs up. And if you want us to read them and find your sale, make the letters big and thick enough to read from 30 feet away.
Is it just me, or after going all-out for months on end, the parkway seems to be just sitting there with nothing being done on it?
Here is a very simple gas-saving tip: Go the speed limit, and please stay off my bumper while I am doing the speed limit.
Thank you to the organizers of the Fat Tire Festival in Fruita last week. I work in a store in town and we had a great week. The people that this sport brings in were so nice and pleasant.
I will gladly pay an additional $25 for roads if all the energy industry vehicles with out-of-state plates have to pay it as well.
