9th annual car show to be held in downtown Grand Junction
Which car in the ninth annual Fuoco Motor Co. Downtown Car Show is mostly likely to get a speeding ticket?
Which car traveled the most miles to attend the show?
Find out at the car show Saturday, Sept. 25, while gazing at antique cars, muscle cars, classic cars and even motorcycles.
A noon car wash on Friday, Sept. 24, in the back lot of Main Street Suites, 225 Main St., will begin the event for those showing cars, and registration also will be taken from noon to 6 p.m. at the hotel.
Registration continues from 6–9 a.m. Saturday at Main Street Suites.
A portion of the car registration fees will be given to Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado.
From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. cars will be parked on Main Street from Third to Seventh streets for people to view. The award ceremony will be at 3:45 p.m. at Fourth and Main streets.
The show is free for spectators.
Where do you park your car while the car show entries fill the Main Street parking spaces?
All floors of the parking garage on Rood Avenue will be available Saturday for free parking and easy access to Main Street through the breezeway.
Among awards to be given are the People’s Choice, City of Grand Junction Mayor’s Choice, DTA Board President’s Choice and Top 10 Show Vehicle awards.
Post show, a Sunday, Sept. 26, tour is planned through the Colorado National Monument, to Fruita Fall Festival and across Grand Mesa for Color Sunday or to the Gateway Car Museum in Gateway.
