A peachy idea

We heartily endorse the idea of designating the Palisade peach as the official state fruit, and not just because it’s grown in our own backyard.

Palisade peaches account for more than half of all the fruit grown in our state, and they are known far beyond the borders of Colorado for their sweet, juicy splendor.

It’s true that another state in the southeast claims peaches as its official fruit, but its peaches can’t hold a candle to those grown in Palisade.
