Anti-gang activist accused in rally shooting

DENVER — Denver police say anti-gang activist Terrance Roberts told gang members he shot a man at a community rally because the man threatened him with a knife.

According to the Denver Post, Roberts was arrested Friday night after Hasan Jones was wounded. Jones was in critical condition at Denver Health Medical Center on Monday.

Court records show Roberts posted $100,000 bail. He faces charges including attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
