App boasts better fishing with no catch

This week’s Outside Connection is a free app that’s said to be easy to use and helps you catch more fish.

So, what is the catch?

According to the folks at Fishbuster, there is none.

“I designed the application for fishermen like me who want to optimize their leisure time and increase the probability of catching more fish,” said Fishbuster creator Jeff Pick.

According to Pick, once FishBuster downloads to your desktop or phone, it sorts through site-specific solunar tables and then gives suggestions for bait and presentation.

The resulting info “provides an easy and free way to increase the chances of a productive catch,” Pick said.

Since this isn’t an endorsement, I’ll mention a catch or two. You get some advertisements (that’s why it’s free), and it’s not compatible with Macintosh computers.

WHAT: Fishbuster, a free, location specific, GPS-driven software application.

WHERE: A software application for your computer, phone or mobile device.

HOW: Check it out at http://www.Fishbuster.net.

WHO: If you do this, let us know how it really works.
