Boulder not happy about boating plan for reservoir

BOULDER — Boulder officials say they don’t want boaters messing up their water supply.

A proposal from the town of Nederland to allow boating on Barker Reservoir met with opposition from the Boulder City Council on Tuesday.

According to the Boulder Daily Camera, council members raised a range of concerns, including the potential impact on water quality and invasive species.

The proposal has not yet been approved by the Nederland Board of Trustees.
