Jewish Christian theologian to be in GJ
• First United Methodist Church will host special guest Rev. Rebekah Simon-Peter in February. Simon-Peter is a Jewish Christian theologian in residence. She will present two sessions of the workshop “Reading the Bible with Jewish Eyes” at 8:30 a.m. and 9:45 p.m. Feb. 22. She will speak at the Art Center Feb. 22-24.

Marriage simulcast to be Feb. 28
• New Horizons Four Square Church, 641 Horizon Dr., will host a Focus on the Family marriage simulcast from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 28. There will be a break for lunch.
Tickets are $69 per couple or $40 for a single person.

Koeppen new pastor at Hawthorne Park
• Rev. Steve Koeppen will be the new pastor at Hawthorne Park Community Church of God. Koeppen has been the interim pastor for several months. He has served as a national representative of church relations for the International Bible Society and on staff at Focus on the Family.
