• Cejudo at Grand Junction this weekend

Gold-medal winner Henry Cejudo will speak about his Olympic experience on Saturday from 1:30 to 3 p.m. in the Grand Junction High School auditorium.
Cejudo will be available afterward for an autograph session.
The cost is $5 per person; high school coaches who bring their teams will be admitted free.

College Cross Country

• Skarda receives All-America honor

Alexis Skarda officially received All-America honors Tuesday, announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The Mesa State College freshman is the first Mesa State cross country runner to earn All-America honors in the program’s history. Skarda placed 19th in the NCAA Division II national championships Saturday in Slippery Rock, Pa.
Skarda is one of 33 women in Division II to receive All-America honors. She joins five Adams State runners, Shannon Payne of the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs and Julianne Payton of Western State.
