CMU women drop to No. 7

After their first loss of the season, the Colorado Mesa University women’s basketball team dropped three spots today to No. 7 in the USA Today/WBCA Division II top 25.

The Mavericks (18-1) had been one of four undefeated teams heading into last weekend’s games, but lost 77-73 at Colorado Christian on Saturday night. They still have a two-game lead over three teams in the RMAC standings with seven games remaining. They return home Friday to play Black Hills State at 5:30 p.m.
