Littleton Republican is Penry’s replacement as minority chief
DENVER — Republicans have elected Sen. Mike Kopp of Littleton to be their new minority party chairman.
Kopp was chosen today to replace Senate Minority Leader Josh Penry, who is stepping down at the end of the legislative session next week.
Penry, of Grand Junction, says he is stepping down to run the campaign for GOP U.S. Senate candidate Jane Norton.
The Republican caucus picked Sen. Bill Cadman of Colorado Springs to be the caucus chairman, replacing Kopp.
