Concern grows for Loma man missing for 10 days

Roger Vigil

There are “serious medical concerns” for a Loma man now missing for 10 days, the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department said today.

Roger Vigil, 74, didn’t take his medication and hasn’t filled prescriptions since he was last seen around 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 22 at his home in Loma, sheriff’s spokeswoman Heather Benjamin said. Deputies believe he walked away from his home.

Foul play isn’t suspected, Benjamin said.

He may be wearing a brown leather jacket, black jeans, a gray T-shirt, a baseball hat and glasses. He also had a black cast on his left arm from hand to elbow. Vigil is described as Hispanic, 5-foot-5 and weighing 135 pounds.

Anyone with information about Vigil’s whereabouts should call 911.
