Crested Butte attorney seeks District 61 seat

Crested Butte attorney Luke Korkowski, who began and abandoned a bid for the U.S. Senate last year, now is running for the state House.

Korkowski said Monday he is seeking the House District 61 seat now held by Kathleen Curry of Gunnison, an independent who this year renounced her Democratic Party affiliation.

Korkowski is emphasizing tax reform, growth of small businesses, promotion of responsible energy exploration, and education reform.

Korkowski is a transactional attorney. He is married and has two young children.
